The key to a speedy drop off is to have the following done one week prior to camper’s registration.

- All forms turned in to the camp office:

- Copy of immunization card
- Copy of insurance card
Check-in
All assigned registration times for youth camps are Sundays from 3:00-6:30 pm. Family Camp registration begins at 4:00 pm.
Check-out
Check-out is from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. Specialty Camp is a 5-day camp. Check-out is Friday from 8:00-9:00 a.m. The intervening time until the next check-in allows the camp staff to prepare for the next arrivals. For your child’s safety, we ask those picking up the campers to have personal photo ID. Our staff go off supervision duty at 10:00 a.m.
Campership Fund—Matthew Jacobs Memorial Fund
Camp is the #1 place where kids give their hearts to Jesus – so at Camp Au Sable we believe that no child should be turned away because of finances.
- Our Campership Fund, made possible through the generosity of friends of Camp Au Sable, is available to any family who needs financial assistance.
- If you are interested in helping to send kids to camp, please mark your “love gift” on the application form.

Cancellations & Refunds
Youth Camps—Please note that a $100 deposit ($50 non-refundable) is needed to reserve a place for your child.
Family Camps—A non-refundable 20% deposit (minimum $100) is needed to reserve a place for your family.
Any cancellations should be reported immediately by phone to give other campers an opportunity to attend. Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel two weeks prior to the camp you wanted to attend, you will be refunded 50% of the camp fee. There are no refunds for “no shows.”
Class Sign-up
Choose your classes now! Preregister for your classes when you sign up for Junior, Tween, Teen, and Specialty camps. Registering online will ensure that you get the class you select.
Camper Mail & Phone
- Campers love mail! Choose any of the following ways to contact your camper. Bring your mail on the day of registration and it will be distributed throughout the week.
- Email your camper, go to our website campausable.org, click online registration then click the icon Email a camper. You can only email a camper if you are on their account. Be sure to include the camper’s name in the subject line.
- Camper Mail: Camper’s name, Camp Au Sable, 2590 Camp Au Sable Dr., Grayling, MI 49738. (Be sure to send in time for camper to receive while at camp.)
- Please, no phone calls except for emergencies. Emergency number: 989.348.5491.
Camp Store
Stop by and see our great selection of NEW merchandise. On Sunday, we sell amazing bread and granola from our camp bakery.
- All money must be deposited and receipted at the office on Sunday.
- Camper’s money will be on account to use during their weekly trip to the store.
- Typical deposits range from $25-$50.
- Any unused money that is not collected by the end of the camping season will be used towards the Campership Fund.
Surprise Bag
Surprise your camper with a special gift bag including a T-shirt and other goodies from the camp store. Your package will be delivered midweek. Cost is $15.
Staying With Friends
You may stay in a cabin with your friends. Sign up for cabin mates and your favorite counselor on registration day.
Important
The camp director reserves the right to reject an application or send any camper home whose influence is considered injurious to the best interests of the camp or campers.
Directions
From Lansing take I-127 N to I-75 N to Grayling. Take exit 254 (left hand exit). Drive to the first light and turn right onto M-72 East. The camp entrance is one-half mile on the right.
What Not to Bring
Tobacco, alcoholic beverages, any illegal substances, radios, CD players, cell phones, computers, iPods, mp3's, electronic devices, knives or any type of weapon, fireworks, jewelry of any kind, two-piece swimsuits and spaghetti strap shirts for girls, or any clothing or possession that promotes non-Christian values.
Jewelry
Please leave jewelry and valuables at home for your protection and ours. Should any of these items be brought to camp, they will be kept in a secure place and returned before camper leaves. Camp Au Sable will not take responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Lost & Found
Be sure you have all your camper’s belongings before you leave the camp. There is a table outside of the dining hall that has all the “found” items for that week.
- If your camper leaves something at camp, call the camp office and have a lost & found form filled out.
- Items that have been left longer than two weeks will be discarded or given to charity!
- You will be charged the actual postage plus a $5 handling fee.
Camp Au Sable will not take responsibility for a lost or stolen items. Please mark all personal belongings with your camper’s name.
Early Leaves
If a camper must leave the camp early, we must have written permission from the parent/guardian. Photo ID will be required.
Swimsuit Policy
In our continued quest to maintain high standards in modesty, we are asking that all male campers wear boxer type swim shorts and all female campers wear board shorts or other appropriate shorts with their modest, one-piece swimsuit.
